Very Lime Sublime

Happy Birthday Lindsey!
Today is Linsdey's birthday. Somehow she has picked up the knickname "Lime". I'm sure Brittany had something to do with it. Personally, I have always called her Petunia. I don't know why. Maybe it's because Petunias are the one flower I can grow in my garden without killing them. They are really strong, very beautiful, smell nice, and no matter how much I screw up as a gardener, they still seem to grow. Yes, Lindsey is a lot like a Petunia. She is beautiful, very strong, and no matter how much I screw up as her mother she still loves me. She is smart, funny, sarcastic, sensitive, and sensible. She is very frank. You don't have to wonder what Lindsey thinks, she will make it pretty clear. For some reason Lindsey really wanted to come to this family. I don't know what she was thinking! She must have been a little crazy.
Lindsey came in to this world a tiny little package that brought a huge amount of joy to my life. How do our babies grow up so fast? I can't imagine my life without her in it.

Oh Craftiness.....please read!

My daughter Brittany has offered the following challenge / opportunity: "the first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive, at some point during the year, a hand/homemade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise! The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment here, write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going. Then come back, let me know you're going to play, and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift! Remember that only the first 3 comments will receive a gift from me, so be quick!"

Does anyone want to play? I have been known to be quite crafty. :) This could give me some inspiration!

Our tennis buddy, one of many we saw at the resort
