This Guy....

Why do I love this guy so much?

So many reasons! Even though he's been through alot he doesn't let it get him down. He makes me laugh. All the time! Sponge Bob is his hero. I think it's because they are so much alike. He is always happy :) When he gets up in the morning, he literally dances out of bed. He is excited to start each new day. He loves his mummy. (And his daddy too.) He loves his girls. He loves me and my kids. He gets up and makes crepes for the kids every morning before school. He's a great cook ... well, there was that one spaghetti incident :( He doesn't judge me or remind me of my faults. He works out with me when I ask him to. Hmmm, he does most anything when I ask him to. He's very smart and LIKES to help the kids with their homework. The kids think he is annoying, but I know something they don't know, so I find him very funny. He would do anything for anyone, he has a heart of gold. He lives what he believes without forcing his will on others, leading by example. He makes me happy and gives me something to look forward to each day. He is my best friend and I can tell him anything. He is willing to try new things, even Thai food that tastes like sour milk. He puts up with me, that is huge! There are many more reasons...I could go on and on, suffice it to say I love him with all my heart and feel very blessed to have him in my life!

Skating

I have found a great skating route in Draper where I work. I can skate through the neighborhood and hook up with a couple of paved bike paths with relatively little traffic during my lunch hour. The fall weather has made this a perfect time to skate. I have had some interesting experiences in the last two weeks. A few days ago a great big yellow dog came after me...I thought for sure he was going to run me down and eat me! Fortunately, he turned back and left me alone. Got my heart racing though! And three days ago I was just skating along, enjoying my own thoughts, when a rock jumped out in front of me and tried to kill me. Unfortunately, in preventing my fall, I pulled every muscle in my right buttocks and hamstring. Skinned knees would have probably been less painful and healed much faster. I hurt. But...will it keep me from getting back out there? No way.
