Momness
I've had some pretty incredible blessings in my life and been able to accomplish some amazing things. Amazing to/for me anyway. But, the most amazing and fulfilling thing I have ever done is this:
And...(I am on the phone with) this:
The cute girl, not the rooster.
And I come from pretty good stock: :)
My Beautiful Mother
My Sister Mykel, Mom, Me
Three Generations (Jenni, Mykel, Mom, Me and Lindsey)
Will there be a fourth generation next year?? :)
Someone really should have told me my hair was sticking up like that.

Day before Mother's Day Ritual
The day before Mother's Day is the Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure". This has become a yearly ritual for our family. Every year more and more people turn out (17K this year)and it gets harder to run without tripping over someone. It's amazing how many people have been affected by this terrible disease (breast cancer). Here are some pictures from our experience this year. (Peter was there, but behind the camera.)
It's a little chilly first thing in the morning....walking to the starting line. Robin looks psyched :)
Me, running....very slowly...but running. I don't do running. This is the ONE time a year I run a 5K. My knees don't allow anything more.

The Zoo Zoo Zoo
Peter's mom, Audrey, has been in town the past 10 days for a visit. Unfortunately we have not provided the nicest weather, but one of the days when it was warm we went to the zoo. I have not been there for several years. Where are all the animals?? No zebras (they died), no polar bears or bears of any kind, (moved to Oregon during renovation), no sea lions or seals, no lions! What kind of zoo has no lions?? All in all it was very disappointing. But, at least it was fun to spend time together and enjoy a nice day before the snow returned.
