I have always wanted to try to skate all the way downtown. So I had this great idea for Monday morning....we would park our car at the nearest entrance to the Jordan River Parkway, I would skate, and Peter would keep up on his bike. We woke up to a beautiful morning and headed out on our trek. The Parkway was packed...I don't think I've ever seen it so busy! We took a couple of pictures and headed out. All was going well...until we hit about 3800 south. Stupid me, I didn't think to take a picture...but due to the weekend rains the trail was completely under water for about 50 yards! Peter tried to ride through it to see how far it was, but it was so deep his feet were submerged even on his bike! No way I was going to make it through on skates. So, unfortunately we had to turn around and head back. I was majorly disappointed, but someday I WILL finish this quest!

It DOES sound like a good idea. I wouldn't have suspected part of the trail would be under water either.
Dang what a bummer. I guess you could rollerblade with a raft on your back next time, just in case...
Sounds like a fun adventure! There is no way I could make it very far on skates, I would probably hurt myself.
You are awesome! I am always so impressed when I see you skating around the neighborhood!!
It was that deep under the freeway on 6400 S. I thought my Corolla was going to be submerged before I got through it. I'm sure you will make it next time. You Go Girl
