Choose the Right
Today, being Sunday, we went to church as usual. Peter and I have the CUTEST little primary class. They are 4 going on 5 this year which makes them the CTR class ("choose the right" for those of you who don't know what that means). It's nice because they have a year of Primary under their belt so they are not terrified and they know what they should be doing. (As in NOT running around, yelling, crying, poking their neighbor). It seems like in every primary class I have ever taught there has always been that ONE kid. You know the one. hyper-active, can't sit still, can't stop talking, needs constant attention, or is just down right naughty! The one you hope under your breath doesn't come each week, and then you repent later for having that thought. Not this time. We have the cutest, sweetest, most well-behaved class I have ever taught in all my years in primary, and there have been many! (Ok, I am probably jinxing myself by even mentioning this.) And such cute names: 4 girls, Oakely, Joey, Cambria, and Brynn, and 3 boys, Anderson (who insists we call him Spike), Cache, and Liam. It's fun teaching this class with Peter. Since we didn't get to raise our kids together, it's fun to see how he interacts with these little tiny kids. He is great! They say the funniest things! And I can't believe how smart they are at the ripe old age of 4. One of the boys had an old bruise on his forehead and I asked him how he got it. He said he had fallen out of the swing and broken his neck! I laughed, because obviously his neck was not broken and it was too yucky outside to have been in a swing recently. But then his twin sister mentioned something about him having to wear a "halo" and I realized that he really had broken his neck at some point. I won't even go in to the things they tell us about their families and what goes on at home. "Out of the mouths of babes". :)

I loved teaching primary when Jared and I were in DC. You really do get some interesting family secrets from the little ones. You just never know what's going to come out!
That is so cute! I am surprised there are no naughty ones! Ha ha. I think I may have been that child you were talking about!
I love that age group too. It really scares me how smart they are.
